Period of stay renewals
You can apply for a renewal (extension) from 3 months before the expiration of your period of stay. 在留資格認定証明書を有効とみなす期間が変更になりました（R4.06.22更新）
令和4年3月1日付けで、在留資格認定証明書を有効とみなす期間が変更になりました。
（出入国在留管理庁発表）
【有効とみなす期間】
○作成日が２０２０年１月１日～２０２２年４月３０日
→ ２０２２年１０月３１日まで有効とみなす。
○作成日が２０２２年２月１日～２０２２年７月３１日
→ 作成日から「６カ月間」有効とみなす。
なお、対象となる在留資格認定証明曾は、２０２０年１月１日以降に作成されたもの。
技能実習中に特定技能の技能試験を受験することは可能か？

技能実習生と「技能試験」
技能試験は、国外で実施することが原則とされていますが、分野によっては国内試験も実施されます。
技能実習中に「技能試験」を受験することが可能かというお尋ねが多いのですが、
以前までは技能実習生には受験資格がありませんでした。
しかし、令和２年（２０２０年）４月に変更があり、技能実習生でも受験をすることが可能となりました。
ただし、特定技能の技能試験（例えば、実習分野と異なる分野の技能試験）に合格したとしても、
技能実習計画の途中にある実習生の特定技能1号への変更許可は認められませんので注意が必要です。

国内試験を受験できるのは在留資格を有して本邦に在留中の外国人であり、「短期滞在」の在留資格を有する者も含まれますが、不法残留者などの在留資格を有しない者は含まれません。
